I earned my Bachelor’s degree in social work from Southern Illinois University. While completing my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a paraprofessional for extended school year for four years working with students with a variety of different disabilities. In August of 2012, I began my master’s degree in social work at Aurora University. I graduated from Aurora University with my master’s degree in social work. During the 2012-2013 school year, I completed an internship with Plainfield School District working with students in Kindergarten through fourth grade. In August of 2013, I began my career as a social worker for Lincoln-Way Area Special Education Cooperative. I worked in Frankfort and Manhattan with students Early Childhood through eighth grade who received special education services.
I began my career in Troy as a social worker at Heritage Trail. I worked at Heritage Trail for one year, before transitioning over to Troy Craughwell.
At Craughwell, my responsibilities include:
-Case Manager for students with 504 plans
-Conduct Case Study Evaluations
-Provide individual and small group social work services for students with IEPs
-Support students' social emotional functioning through observation, consultation, and direct service.
-Craughwell building homeless liaison
